A little behind the times

I don't know why it has taken me so long to do this, but The Boss finally bought me Twilight.

I started reading it last night at 6:30pm and finished today around 5:00pm. That's right. I read it in less than 24 hours.

I was going to see the movie on Wednesday. I think I'll be trying to go tomorrow or Monday.

Why has it taken me so long to discover what EVERYONE else around me already knew? That these books are impossible to put down. Seriously. Impossible. My poor children suffered.

And Edward Cullen. What can I say? I have a new love for Vampires.

I may have been a little behind the times on this one. But I think I'll catch up real fast!

(I also heard the movie is disappointing. But the movie is never as good as the book. That's why you always read the book first. Isn't that kinda a given? I still want to see the movie.)

I was pleasantly surprised by the Twilight movie. There were some definite cheesy parts but the adaptation from the book was pretty good. It was definitely worth seeing!!! Have fun!

I am glad you joined the world of the Cullens- it's a good one (though admittedly very cheesey). The next books in the series are okay, but Breaking Dawn was actually really good. I've seen the movie and it is what you would expect from a low budget film based on a book that is about idealized and imaginary characters. Even still, it's probably worth renting (or you could just read the book again and enjoy yourself so much more!)

I actually liked the movie too. There were a few parts where my friends and I just had to laugh...for example Jasper-he acts like a freak in the movie and I never gathered that from the book! Bella shakes her head a lot too. Funny! I'm so glad that you read it...although I am amazed that you read the entire book in one day. That's amazing. I don't think that I could do that even if I was locked in a room without any distractions. You must be a fast reader!

I am glad you enjoyed the book. I read the book in two days. So I know what you mean about not putting it down. They are really good. I hope you like the movie.

So, I'm even more behind than you! I haven't read any of the books, but I did go see the movie today with Mike's mom, sisters, and relatives and I actually really liked it. The ones who hadn't read the book too recently seemed to like the movie better than the ones who had just read it, as they were the ones who picked it apart more in the movie not having every little detail. Anyway, I do want to catch up and start reading the books, but from what I've heard, I won't be able to put them down... so I'll start when I find some time.... HA HA!

This whole Twilight thing is still a mystery to me. Never ever heard of it until opening night at the movies. I think I will skip the books and maybe convince Be to go see it with me.
